A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

As an Engineer - Chip Security Test Engineer, you will perform security evaluation of SoC and embedded devices, analyze technical documentation and source code, conduct hardware vulnerability assessments, and support cybersecurity evaluation activities.

  • You will collaborate with engineering teams and DEKRA testing experts to deliver security evaluation, testing, and certification services.

Perform security evaluation of SoC and embedded devices.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze technical documentation and source code for security issues.
  • Conduct vulnerability analysis and penetration testing on hardware platforms.
  • Use security tools to detect threats and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and improve evaluation methods and technical skills.
  • Support, train others, and share knowledge through blogs or presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in IT, Cybersecurity, Software or Electronics.
  • Experience with ICT product Common Criteria or cryptographic module certification preferred.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proficient in at least one programming language (C, C++, Java, RUST, .NET).
  • Firmware development experience for embedded products.
  • Knowledge of hardware protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, JTAG) and lab tools.
  • Soldering skills for flash chips and test connections.
  • Experience in source code review and vulnerability assessment.
  • Familiarity with Linux and other embedded OSs.
  • Knowledge of ARM and other microprocessors.

 

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of hardware/embedded system security mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of IoT communication protocols (Bluetooth, WiFi) security.
