Job Description:
We are seeking a native Polish speaker to join our team as a Manual Checker on a part-time or internship basis. This position offers flexible working hours and payment based on the number of projects completed.
As a Manual Checker, you will play a key role in ensuring that our documents, including labels, manuals, and packaging artwork, meet the required safety, performance, and linguistic standards. The primary tasks include reviewing documents, gathering feedback from engineers, and ensuring that the Polish language is accurate and culturally appropriate.
Responsibilities:
1. Download AW (Artwork) documents, such as labels, manuals, and packaging artwork, from the Project Management System (PMS), save them in the project folder labeled "Files," and email the documents to project engineers for comments.
2. Collect and incorporate comments from Safety Engineers regarding IM (Instruction Manuals) or labels related to safety standards. Comments should be added directly in the AW PDF file.
3. Collect and incorporate comments from Performance Engineers regarding IM, label, and packaging artwork related to functionality, performance, and handling. Comments should be added directly in the AW PDF file.
4. Review Polish language descriptions to ensure they comply with native language conventions and habits. Provide comments on the Polish language accuracy, safety, and performance-related issues within the PMS.
5. After receiving approval for the AW documents, save the approved versions in the project folder and rename the folder as "Approved AW."
Qualifications:
• Native Polish speaker with a strong command of the Polish language.
• Attention to detail and a good understanding of language nuances and cultural habits in Polish.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Education background in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with project management systems (PMS) is a plus but not required.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken) to collaborate with engineers and team members.
• Prior experience in language checking, editing, or translation is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Flexible work schedule with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
*** Upon successfully passed interview, a freelance contract will be established with DEKRA Testing and Certification (Shanghai) Ltd. Compensation will be directly provided by DEKRA Testing and Certification (Shanghai) Ltd.
