An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Artificial Intelligence Team. Our vision in DEKRA is to make Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advance Analytics (AA) an essential driver of value creation by 2025. Therefore, we founded the "DEKRA AI Hub" as central institution for the application of AI-based technologies within the DEKRA Group. 

We develop AI and Machine Learning (ML) solutions to improve our processes and service portfolio as well as to leverage new business potentials in a wide range of verticals and uses cases. We also work on the development of tools for AI solutions testing as key to ensure safety of high-risk products, such as the Autonomous Car or bio-medical applications.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly proactive engineer to join our global AI & Advanced Analytics team. Your responsibilities will entail:

• Lead the technical development of AI solutions across a wide range of applications and industries, from architecture design until delivery to client.
• Design the architecture and data pipeline, train and validate AI models.
• Deploy AI solutions in Cloud environments in own Web or Mobile applications, as well as in third-party applications.
• Team up with Cloud team to include new AI components into the development stack, including generative AI tools and large language models.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality of the developed solutions
• Coach junior colleagues on AI topics.
• Stay up to date on new advances on AI technology and adopt them in development process.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading the development of AI and/or Software products end-to-end, from planning to customer delivery.
• Solid knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science.
• Experience with Large Language Models and RAG techniques.
• Strong background in Software Engineering.
• Large expertise developing and deploying applications and pipelines in Cloud Environments (preferable, MS Azure).
• Extensive experience in ML and Deep Learning with Python (Scikitlearn, PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow).
• Excellent command of SQL and No SQL Databases.
• Mastering good Software practices, such as microservices architecture, CI/CD, automated testing, REST APIs and Web Services.

Soft skills:

• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
• Curious, eager to learn and incorporate new technologies.
• Highly proactive, strong entrepreneurial attitude and passion for data.
• High abstraction and synthesis skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Fluent in English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Backend programming with Java and Springboot.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience in MLOps.

• Barcelona or Málaga (hybrid mode).
